Hello all you wonderful people out there. If there is one subject that affects every one of us that is our health. What is the best way of taking care of our health?

Let’s take a brief look at some of our options for taking care of our health.

Some people believe in preventative measures for taking care of their health. What exactly does this mean? Basically, it means eating a healthy diet, exercising properly, and living a healthy lifestyle. A yearly check-up is also a good way to know what shape you are in and to catch any developing illness.

An unpleasant factor in modern life is stress. It is a fact of life. Fortunately, there are many ways to deal with stress. Conventional medicine is one method – relaxation medication. Meditation is another method. In between there are such options as daily rest (even if for ten to twenty minutes), spending part of every day in a soothing physical environment, taking a break, a change of scenery, a vacation. A good laugh, whether at a funny joke or at a comical situation is highly recommended for keeping your mind and body in good shape.

None of us is infallible. We are all prone to illness. What are our options when we do become ill? Again there is conventional medicine. Medication for practically every illness under the sun is available.

Personally, when something out of the norm is detected on my blood test, I make a bee line to the dietician’s office. By eating those foods, those vitamins, required by the body, balance can be regained.

There is more than one way of doing things. You decide what makes you feel good and how you want to stay healthy. After all, health is wealth.

If you go back in time, hygienic practices weren’t even heard of let alone carried out. Medicines were made primarily of plants and whatever else was on hand and even, during the Victorian period when pharmaceuticals became more main stream, they weren’t very worried about how sterile the compounds were.

Today of course, pharmaceuticals are big business and having a product delivered to a patient sterile and ready to go is the norm. We’re talking eye drops, ear drops, inject, infusion products and the like, all things that have to remain sterile until ready to use.

By definition, something that is sterile has the absence of any viable microorganism, and the specification is unchanging and independent of the manufacturing process of the drug in the first place. To make a sterile product then, means filling and sealing the product containers under high quality environmental conditions, with care and with the same practices in place day after day.

When you are talking foods, beverages and medicines, keeping them sterile is a process called aseptic processing. This means that the sterile product is packaged in such a way as to keep its sterile rating. It is accomplished by flash heating which uses less energy than other techniques while (in the case of food) retains more nutrients. When you are talking pharmaceuticals, the ante is upped and the procedure also includes the use of clean rooms, bacteria retaining filters, and either dry or steam heat.

Some examples of food and drinks being in a sterile container include tetra juice boxes and drink pouches, but for medicines, they are stored in plastic or glass containers as these materials form a tight seal against microbiological organisms, contaminants, and degradation of the substance being carried. Using aseptic processing means you no longer need refrigeration and it makes worldwide import and export safe and economical.

Aseptic containers range in size from tiny ones that hold just a few ounces of medicine to ones that can hold eight million gallons in a tank on an ocean liner. Companies that package these medicines and the like can then send their product all over the world, knowing that once it reaches its destination, it is still a viable, sterilized product and will remain that way until it is used for a patient.

The next time you have a prescription for eye drops or have medicines administered by injection or drip, you can be sure those medicines are sterile, all thanks for aseptic processing.

Allopathic medicine is based on a scientific model of disease diagnosis and treatment. Medical doctors are solely interested in identifying symptoms and alleviating them through heroic intervention. This mainstream system of medicine only offers palliative treatments, not anything curative. This is what your doctor won’t tell you. Under this system, they wait for disease to happen and then try to help a patient to live with their condition.

This is the corporate model of health care, which is designed from beginning to end to generate profits for doctors, hospitals, pharmaceutical and medical equipment manufacturers and legions of support personnel. It does not operate in your best interest. In fact, if it did, it would collapse under its own weight from its structural costs combined with the revenue shortfalls produced from curing patients.

Contrast this system with the evidence based model of disease, its causes and cures. This approach is used by naturopaths, herbalists, chiropractors and other natural healers. They place an emphasis on preventing disease. Healers take a wholistic approach, looking at the whole person, including their body, mind and spirit.

Obviously, the best approach is one of proactive prevention. In the absence of prevention, then mitigation and remediation are necessary, if even possible.

I’ll provide an illustration of why the medical system is broken and how you can avoid being a victim of it.

Allopathic physicians are so enamored with the science and technology they use that they often don’t see the forest for the trees. Here’s an example. Scientifically, every diseased cell, tissue, organ, system and ultimately, individual, has five characteristics. All diseased tissue is toxic, hypoxic, acidotic, infected and inflamed.

You can take these steps yourself to prevent disease or even reverse it:

Toxicity: Drink and cook with purified water. Eat only organic food.

Hypoxia: Protect your mitochondria.

Inflammation: Don’t eat supermarket garbage. Get plenty of healthy fats.
